Stroke

Do you think that someone has had a stroke?

Think 'FAST' and save a life - call 999

FAST

FACE - Can they smile? Does one side droop?

ARM - Can they lift both of their arms? Is one arm weak?

SPEECH - Can they speak clearly? Is their speech slurred or muddled?

TEST - Check for all three symptoms

If you do see these signs, call 999 FAST. You may be saving a life. A stroke is a medical emergency - it can happen to anyone at any time.

By calling 999, early treatment can be given which can prevent further damage to the brain.
